God Of War Ragnarok The Weight Of Chains Side Quest Guide (Making Amends Trophy Guide)
The "The Weight Of Chains" favour will start automatically once you dock on the island in the middle of Bay Of Bounty.
From here destroy the rocks on the right with the vase and get rid of the nest at the top. From the top, climb around the side of the island by destroying the vase on the left. You will then get to an area with a breakable section on the ground.
Destroy the nest on the left and then use the wheel to lower the lift. Before you let go, throw your axe at the mechanism to hold the lift in place. Then go back to where you climbed around and go to the left to get on top of the lowered lift. Now retrieve your axe to get the lift to go up with you on top. From here break the floor below, defeat the enemies and get the key from the chest. 🔑
You will now have to follow the quest marker to The Watchtower (👀 the island to the south). Once you arrive, take the path to the right of the blacksmith and climb up.
☝ break the rocks with the vase if its your first time here.
At the top open the door on the right with the key and interact with the gong.
You will now have to head to the "island" on top of the massive creature that has appeared in the middle of the bay. Once you dock, head up and defeat the group of enemies. Then head right and destroy the rocks with the vase. Here you will have to break the first chain by cutting the metal with the chaos blades and then throwing the axe at the target.
After the first chain, head back to where you climbed up from the dock. At the top you will now see a new path on your right. Take it and go around defeating the enemies and then climbing a chain.
You will then have to grapple across a gap and then climb down a chain to find the second chain.
After breaking the chain destroy the nest on the left, revealing a bomb. Use the bomb to break the rocks in the area below. Then grab another bomb and take it down to the area that you just revealed.
Here trhow the bomb at the dock to be able to use it. Now get back on the boat and go to the new dock.
Once you arrive at the new dock, climb up and defeat the group of enemies. You will then be able to destroy the 3rd chain.
Next, use the zipline to get to the final chain. Then open the door with your chaos blades and finally make your way to the creatures eye by boat to finish the quest and unlock the new region! 🔓
