House Of Ashes How To Save Everyone (Best Ending) Golden Path Trophy / Achievement Guide
How to save everyone in The Dark Pictures: House Of Ashes, this means showing you how to get everyone to the end of the game alive, this will also get you the "Golden Path" trophy / achievement.
In this guide we will go over the multiple steps you must take to get to the end of the game with all 5 main characters alive, there is more than one way to achieve this, this guide will show you one of the most simple and safe way to do this.
We will only go over the important decisions in this guide, the others should have no impact on the outcome of the main characters, however decisions that are not included in this guide could affect the lives of side characters like Merwin & Clarice, it’s also worth mentioning that even tho the game will forgive failing most QTEs, I recommend you do your best to execute as many as you can successfully to be safe.
Here are the steps to keep everyone alive until the end of the game…
Step 1. The Raid: During this chapter you will only have to make 1 important decision and that is to NOT SHOOT the shepherd at the end of the chapter with Jason.
Step 2. The Temple: During The Temple chapter you will want to CUT THE ROPE and let Rachel fall.
Step 3. After The Fall: In this chapter make sure you SUCCESSFULLY EXECUTE THE QTE with Salim when facing off against the monster that was under the truck, this will allow Salim to learn about the monsters weakness to the sunlight.
Step 4. The Slayer: Here you will want to pick up the med kit from the side cave to the left just after examining the blood stain on the floor during the cutscene, this will allow you to heal Salim close to the end of the game.
Step 5. The Truce: Where Salim and Nick meet before facing the monster you will want to choose the SUPPORTIVE option. Then Successfully execute the QTE as you head towards the monster, this will get the monster killed and that way Eric can study it and learn about it’s weakness to the UV light.
Step 6. Bloodbath: At the end of this chapter you will want to choose to abandon Clarice and not throw her the rope.
Step 7. The Signal: During The Signal choose the FIRE option with Rachel and use the machine gun, this is not 100% necessary but it will make things safer since if you decide to retreat you will have to remember where you placed the charges with Nick & Jason in the Bloodbath chapter.
Step 8. The Assault: During this chapter there are 3 important things you will have to do…
1. Pick to use the CRUCIFIX on Balathu with Nick.
2. Shoot the monster that is attacking Rachel when controlling Salim.
3. Choose to SAVE Eric with Rachel.
Step 9. Strange Aeons: During the last chapter of the game there will be multiple things you will have to do, these are the following…
1. DO NOT hit the WP with the knife as Rachel and then pick the DESPERATE option both times so Jason does not kill her.
2. When Nick is planting the explosives make sure you successfully execute the QTEs.
3. Save Salim with Jason by picking the FORCEFUL option.
4. Successfully execute the QTEs when Clarice attacks Eric & Rachel.
Step 10. Final Stand: Now all you have left is to successfully execute the QTEs during the final stand at the end of the game and the Golden Path trophy will be yours!
